Fees, Commissions, and Payouts Policy
Effective: Immediately
Platform Commission
BreadWeb charges a 5% Marketplace commission.
Affiliate Commission
An affiliate earns a 10% commission on qualifying Marketplace sales.
Seller-Referral Rewards
- Seller-referral reward (first sale): a one-time $5 reward, funded by BreadWeb, when a seller who was referred by someone else qualifies as a real seller by completing their first genuine sale. It is granted once per referred seller and is not re-granted after a refund.
- Hold period before paying the affiliate/referrer: 28 days to allow returns or disputes to clear.
Payment-Processor (Stripe) Fees
BreadWeb teams up with Stripe to process secure marketplace payments. Stripe applies its own standard processing charges to each transaction. Stripe processing charges are separate transaction costs.
Destination Charges
BreadWeb uses a connected-account approach to route funds to sellers. The amount BreadWeb keeps includes the marketplace commission and the estimated payment-processing amount. What remains is sent to the seller’s account.
Affiliate Commissions
An affiliate earns a 10% commission on qualifying Marketplace sales.
- Seller referrals (first sale): Sellers who joined through another person’s invite may generate a one-time $5 reward for that inviter on the seller’s first successful sale.
Affiliate and referral amounts are not paid instantly. They are first created, then held for 28 days to protect buyers and sellers, and then released for payout.
Order & Payout Timing
- Order creation: Orders and charges are created by BreadWeb’s checkout flow.
- Partial success: If a buyer purchases from multiple sellers at once, some parts of the order may succeed even if another part fails.
- Hold window for affiliates/referrers: Earnings stay in “pending/hold” for 28 days to allow for refunds or disputes. After that, they move to “ready for payout.”
- Payout method: Marketplace affiliate/referral amounts that are “ready for payout” are paid in scheduled, admin-reviewed payout runs through Stripe Connect to the affiliate’s connected account.
Webhooks
Payment notifications from the processor are used to confirm or correct order information (for example, to update a payment status or attach a reference). These notifications do not create new orders by themselves.
Fraud Review & Safety
To protect the marketplace, BreadWeb may automatically flag unusual orders, high-value transactions, rapid repeated purchases, or bursts of first-sale rewards. Flagged items can be reviewed before payout. BreadWeb may delay or decline payouts that appear abusive or inconsistent with normal buyer or affiliate behavior.
Payout Batches
Ready-to-pay affiliate and referral amounts are grouped into payout batches. Each batch has an internal reference and a note for audit. When a batch is sent, the included items are marked as Paid. Affiliates and referrers are responsible for providing accurate contact and payout information.
Honesty & Compliance
Affiliates and referrers must represent products and the BreadWeb brand truthfully. Misleading promotions, impersonation, or attempts to generate fake or circular orders can lead to loss of earnings and removal from the program.
Taxes
Affiliate and referral earnings are paid to you as gross income. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any income, self-employment, sales, or other taxes on amounts you earn through the program, in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction. BreadWeb does not withhold taxes on your behalf. Where payouts are made through Stripe, any tax forms or thresholds are handled by Stripe under its own terms; BreadWeb does not provide tax advice. Please consult a qualified tax professional about your obligations.
